Please help me with the following enquiry with regard to my bridal retinue/entourage. I have two cousins (girls) aged 12 and 14. Can I use them as hostesses to distribute my programmes at the church and also as my flower- girls, or are they too old? I don’t have any other younger family members that I could use as flower girls.
I think your cousins are a little too old to be called flower-girls and should rather be called ‘junior bridesmaids’. Are you having any other bridesmaids? As the bride’s attendants usually arrive at the church with the bride and either walk up the aisle before or after her, I don’t think your cousins can be hostesses as well. Do you not have any boy cousins who could act as ushers at the church? If not, you could ask two close friends to welcome the guests for you.
