As a run-up to The Cape Town Wedding Festival, Celebration House held a Planning Your Wedding Workshop on Saturday 13 May at the Pavilion Conference Centre at the V & A Waterfront.
The half-day workshop was great fun and those attending gleaned much knowledge from the informative talks provided by:
attorneys, Amanda Catto, Anton Neethling and Grant Wiid of
Bowman Gilfillan (ante-
nuptial contracts)
Pam Black of
Celebration House, (hints and tips on planning a wedding)
Howard Friedman of Jack Friedman
Jewellers (diamonds as an investment)
Beryl Eichenberg, on behalf of Swartland Winery, (advice on choosing sparkling wine for your wedding)
Lephia’s Flowers
provided much inspiration with each table decorated in a different style.
The workshop ended with a glass of Swartland sparkling wine and a tasting of a delicious chocolate wedding cake made by Kanya Hunt of The Hunt House Kitchen. Delegates went home
armed with complimentary copies of the Weekend Argus, House & Garden, GQ and Glamour magazines. They also received samples from Elizabeth Arden of their Provocative Woman perfume and chocolates from Just
Chocs.
Proceeds of ticket sales went to HOPEHIV Africa, a British charity that helps Aids orphans, which
has just opened a Cape Town office. HOPEHIVE Africa works closely with NGOs including Starfish, Gold and Beautiful Gate.
Philip Green was on
hand to capture the following scenes from the Workshop.
